Vincent Tse

Intermediate Architectural Designer BSSc (AS), MArch, PMP

After attaining his Master of Architecture in 2017 at The Chinese University of Hong Kong and prior to moving to Canada, Vincent gained seven years of wide-ranging experience on large-scale projects in Hong Kong. From LWK & Partners, where he was Project Architect on a 2,000+-unit high-end residential complex, he went to work for the Hong Kong Housing Authority, project managing a 3,000+-unit public housing development from podium construction through to occupancy. Vincent also has extensive experience on renovation projects. While with Aedas Limited, he led facade design and retail planning design on the transformation of Hong Kong’s Lucky Plaza from an aging, downmarket shopping centre into a successful, upscale mall in a highly competitive retail district. Vincent led the phasing planning that enabled Lucky Plaza to stay open throughout construction. He was also instrumental in incorporating LED-screen ceilings that have turned a dark, low-ceilinged mall with no skylighting potential into a bright, dynamic interior that is never more than a few keystrokes away from a new look. His strategies for shaping a more inviting environment can also be community-centric and low-tech: on the Hong Kong Housing Authority project, he worked with schoolchildren and local artists on a murals program that gives the building a distinctive, cohesive identity and assists with wayfinding. Vincent’s PLANT projects range from accessibility upgrades at a Toronto Community Housing Corporation apartment complex to contract administration on two buildings at Town of Newmarket’s Mulock Park: the new Conservatory and the conversion of heritage stables to the Artist Residency Studio.
