Taylor Kirsh

Landscape Architect BLA, MUD, OALA, CSLA

After completing a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture at the University of Guelph and a Master of Urban Design at the University of British Columbia, Taylor gained early-career experience at two large firms. Her projects for The MBTW Group included site plan approvals for The Well, a large-scale mixed-use development in Toronto; with Vertechs Design, she worked on multiple healthcare, institutional, and school board projects. Taylor then worked for three years at John Lloyd and Associates, a smaller firm specializing in high-end residential landscape architecture. Designing for multiple sectors and across a wide range of project scales has equipped her to see the big picture, while also giving her a fine-grained understanding of materiality and construction details. She excels at coordinating with authorities having jurisdiction and resolving the technical challenges of integrating structure into landscape. Her PLANT projects in Toronto include Eglinton Park and contract administration for the streetscape and podium-level landscapes for the Block 22 (Concord Canada House) mixed-use development. Taylor is also on the landscape design team for Algoma University’s Makwa Indigenous Centre of Cultural Excellence in Sault Ste. Marie, ON.
