Canada House (Block 22) is the last condominium development project in the CityPlace neighbourhood in Toronto. It comprises two residential towers – 62 and 72 storeys – including an eleven-storey podium that houses Concord Adex’s main office, commercial retail space parking, residential units and indoor and outdoor amenities.
PLANT designed the outdoor amenity and landscape spaces including the ninth and eleventh level podiums, and the ground-floor streetscape including the extensive drivecourt. The podium provides multi-functional space to accommodate the varying needs of more than 1,300 building occupants, with outdoor living space for residents, and opportunities for circulation, recreation, and relaxation. The podium includes a skating rink with a central island, (pond in summer), community dining areas, promenade walks, lounge spaces, lookouts, a playground, a dog park, built-in seating with fireplaces, green roofs, and strategic planting to buffer wind and sun.
