Prix du XXe siècle honours enduring excellence in Canadian architecture

Toronto City Hall and Civic Square has been honoured with the Prix du XXe siècle for its enduring excellence as a nationally significant work of architecture, designed by architects Viljo Revell and John B. Parkin Associates (now NORR Limited Architects Engineers Planners).
According to the jury, recent rehabilitation work has generally embodied the spirit of stewardship required to maintain significant public heritage. The site is currently being revitalized by PLANT Architect and Perkins+Will Canada in joint venture.
