Completed Sheridan installation attracts Curiosities
Woven Stories, the functional, facade-wrapping art installation collaboratively created by Sheridan College design students and faculty and PLANT is now fully installed … and the subject of a truly wonderful post by Christine Szustaczek on Curiosities, Sheridan’s official blog. The author explains how the PLANT-led, multidisciplinary team developed the concept for the installation that reduces glare and heat gain within the Rob Turner Building at Sheridan’s Davis Campus in Brampton, ON. The project provided practical experience for Illustration students at Sheridan, and for all involved it was gratifying to collaborate on an installation that symbolizes the work done by the college’s Faculty of Applied Health and Community Studies. It’s also great to know that this joint effort transformed a common area that formerly had sunny-day light levels rivalling those of an operating theatre into a place where students now actually want to hang out.
