The Royal Architectural Institute of Canada, the Canadian Institute of Planners, and the Canadian Society of Landscape Architects have announced the winners of the 2014 National Urban Design Awards. PLANT Architect’s Pottery Road Bicycle and Pedestrian Crossing earned Certificate of Merit in the Urban Fragments tags.

Part of a larger project to provide interpretation, accessibility, and environmental control for the Lower Don Recreational Trail, the project comprises a new controlled crossing and reconfigured road-island to improve the safety of pedestrians and cyclists and choreograph a new experience of the Lower Don landscape.
