Porch was a one-day installation for a street party. The simple, boldly-cut translucent screen temporarily denied the view into the semi-social, semi-public space of the porch yet proclaimed its presence and role on the street. The screen made the porch feel solid and spatial from the outside. On the inside, the space was luminous and disconnected from the street, yet the fragmented views out were crisp, focused, and inextricably linked to the name of the space.
