Pickering Museum Village Feasibility Study
(in collaboration with Andre Sheinman Heritage Preservation)
The Pickering Museum Village is a collection of historic structures that have been assembled to form a didactic re-creation of an old village. The museum requires a new Operations Centre on the "Main Street". This feasibility study included assessing three historic houses presently standing on the grounds of the future Pickering International Airport, to determine which (if any) would be most suitable for adaptive reuse including extensive additions, and compare them to the construction of a new building. The new building proposal shown here will hold offices, archives, staff change rooms, kitchen and banquet facilities, classrooms, and workshops and costume storage.
